"The big bunch"

I have been thinking of collecting all my needlefelted animals and take a picture of them, and maybe use as a business card for the fair =) And when Jane was talking about the "big bunch" in a comment I finally got started on that picture. Actually they were a lot more than I thought =) And still I couldn't find my mouse, and I have given away one dog, sold 4 mice and 4 cats and given away some sheep and several teddy bears =)
I do have a terrible separation anxiety, but I think it will be best for some animals to move, so I can make room for new ones, I love needlefelting and I can see how I get better and better and I want to develop even more so some have to go (I wouldn't mind the money they could bring either... ;) ) But now I'll always have this picture of them all, before I start selling them =)
I hope I will have many more for the fair, because so many of these are staying with me ;) The Pettersson families dog, the mini version of my late dog, some teddy bears, some cats.. yes, I wont sell them all, so that's a relief =)
I borrowed my husbands camera for this, it was great, even with a not that great photographer like me =)  The super macro button made me start wishing for a new camera after all ;) (I do like to stick to things I know, like my old camera and computer and stuff like that.)

The dogs
The schnauzer, Chinese crested and a lying white poodle will stay with me, and I'm starting to really like the white terrier too, so he might stay as well.... If I'm going to keep every other animal like this it will take me a good while to get a big bunch.... ;)

The cats
Two of these have already moved in to my 1:12 house. But some are going to the fair =)

The newest dog, I think he looks a bit old and tired =) And I have no clue what bread he is, but I kinda like him anyway =) I hope some one on the fair will like him as well, and bring him to a good home =)
One new dog and one new cat =)

I hate to brag, and I'm always uncertain of my things, are they good enough?! but I have to say I think this cat is kinda funny ;)
I made two cats that are "washing" them selves, one grey (which I'm almost about to keep for myself... ;) ) and one white one. (The white one was a bit quick to the selling-box, so he didn't make it to the picture, but you may see him at the picture above, on all the cats)

Then someone asked for a giraffe, so I started making one =) or 2 so far, took much more time than I first thought, all these spots are kinda hard to do, I roll and roll the wool to get a tiny piece to add on the body =) Fun, but it took 3 hours (effective time) to get it done. I thought I should time a project to see how much time I spend on things =) But the dogs take more time, so I never remember to time them =)
And it doesn't really matter, but I thought it would help me decide prices.. which is so hard!!
I hate deciding a price... I'm afraid I will overcharge people, but I think I have been very cheap so far..
Since I get a little separation anxiety I could just as well keep my stuff if I'll sell them too cheap, so I think I had to raise the prices so that I can feel more happy about selling things =) Otherwise I could just keep them =)
So I have double some prices =) And right now the cheapest teddy bear cost 40kr (around 6.2USD or 4.5euro) and the most expensive dog is 230kr(around 35.5USD or 26Euro). My cats cost 90-130kr. (14-20 USD or 10-15 Euro) Since all my animals are a bit different I have different prices on almost all of them =)
I hope to start an Etsy shop after the fair and sell some animals now and then =) I'll tell you when or if that happens =)

Do you have a tip on how much I should charge for my things?? I don't want to be too cheep or too expensive, I want a perfect price ;) Buts its hard to know what the perfect price should be =) Do you think the prices looks OK right now??

And when I was taking so many pictures I got an idea to make a tiny children's book. First I made a book with my teddy bears, first picture is with one teddy, then two and at least ten teddy bears =) Then I made a book with cats and then dogs too. This was fun, but took more time than I thought it would. I will be selling these books on the fair too =)
 Sorry for the bad picture..
I've made them in Swedish right now, but I could just change the text and make some in English later =)

Next time I'll show you the generous package I received from Conny =)
Thank you for stopping by to read my blog =)
Take care

A cool video

Kitty Störby Jutbring is a member of both a Lundby group and a miniature group on FB that I'm in. She is kind of well-known in Sweden for her appearance in both TV, radio and magazines. She is also a bloger and she has posted some pictures of her dollhouse on the blog. (Nice to see that celebrities have hobbies (especially the miniature hobby) just like the rest of us ;) ) And now her husband made this wonderful video, I think it's so cool so I'll share it with you =) Who hasn't been dreaming of wondering around in a dollhouse like that?! And their baby, the star of the video is very cute! And Kitty has done a great job with her house! And the video is very well-made, looks just like the baby is inside the dollhouse, for real =)
I dont know the Störby Jutbring family in person, but Kitty asked us (in the FB group) to share the video, and since I loved it I cant see any reason why not, so here it is:
(I manage to get it into my post by sharing it from youtube, I had no clue I could do that, you learn something new every day ;) )

And then I'll just tell you that the white poodle is finished, I think...

And a last picture of her posing with her friend the grey poodle.... =)
There is only a quick post today, since I have to get back to work on more animals for the fair. =)
Thank you all for your comments on my last post!
Take care

My Google troubles....

I'll just start talking(writing) about how google messed up my day, so if you aren't interested in accounts and google, just skip reading this first text, and jump straight on to the minis, after all this text... ;)

So, I got an new email awhile ago and thought it would be easy just changing the mail on things like blogger.. If I ever knew how much trouble it would get me... I wonder if I ever had made the new account in the first place...
First of all, the transferring thing between mails in gmail didn't work.. So I gave up that and thought I might save the old address just to have access to older mail... So I started sending my new email to people and changing it on different sites, and then to blogger...
I could not get it to work so I gave up, but then I tried again yesterday, using different browsers and finally!! So now both Hannah and Hannahsminiatyrer writes on this blog ;) (Yes, that's both me)
But then I got new troubles.. First of all my new mail got a google+ account, I have no clue how it works and just let it be... but then my blog told me they would come together, as one.. so all a sudden one could only comment with google+ on my blog and my full name were shown every were.. I was so not pleased with this, but now I got a blogger profile instead of the google+ profile they just made for me..
Then I realized all blogs I follow through google friend conect are done with my other email.. so looking at my new profile I follow 0 blogs... Google is driving me MAD!!!!!
I dont know if I have to add myself as a new follower with google friend connect, once more on all blogs I follow... I'm just sick and tired of google right now... (and when I was going to look at youtube, the stupid "google+ thing" came up and change stuff I have no clue about..) And I couldn't add myself as a follower on a new blog I found today, but I tried another one, and that one worked, only it didn't use my blogger account, it used my full name again.. I have no clue what's wrong and right now I give up, again!
Sorry for this long text about stuff that can't interest anyone.. but I just had to get it out of my system ;)
Now to the minis!

And now you are all saying, wait a minute, haven't I seen that cat before?! And yes you have, like several times.. ;) But I change the nose.. again... =) Third times a charm, right?! =) I think I'm done with the black cat now. I did gave him another nose first, but it looked terrible, and I thought I've completely ruined him, but I manage to fix it =) I could work on one piece for a life time.. improve things and I bet I could ruin them and then improve them again and again... so some times you just have to step back and let something be finished =) So here is me, stepping back... =)

You know the poodle I was working on?! She gave me a hard time.. I liked her better without a face.. I have change the eyes 3 times now, but I finally found out the best eyes for her, eyes made of fimo and paint. Now I just have to fix the "hair" and ears.
She is a bit of a mess at this point, but she is being more and more cooperative ;)

My mini house from the last post is still not done.. I always have a hard time finishing things, I always leave them nearly finished... But I'm really thinking of finishing the mini house in a near future! =)
And I still have a cold, but I'm better, but now my daughter starts coughing, but she is quite happy anyway =)
Thank you for reading and take care and stay healthy =)

Bed set and a new 1:144 scale house

Well Birgit was right :) I did manage to cut into the lovely fabrics, some tiny pieces, for a pillow and quilt for my cradles, I have two cradles to sell, and one of my own.. that haven't got any bed set yet..
And I just wanted to thank you all, you are ALL so nice, I love reading your comments =) Inspires me to improve and keep working on my minis =)
Thank you all!!!
So after all encouragement I tried making some bed sets. I just need to glue the bottom and legs to the green cradle, and then I'm done. (But when I say that I always find something else to fix or add...)
I've also started a make-over at a changing table.
I'm not done yet =) I will add wallpaper to the door too.

And guess what, just after I "revealed" my new fabric "addiction" I won a giveaway, from Conny, with new fabrics =) How great is that?!! Will be looking forward on getting my mail now ;)

Last time I promised pictures of my new 1:144 scale house, so here they come =)
I measured my 1:12 scale house and devided it with 12, and drew a floor plan. I decided I wouldn't make the big doors that opens in the front.
I wanted a 50's and 60's look. And looked for old wallpapers on the net (everything is so much easier when I have a printer) and just printed the wallpapers I wanted =)

And made a parquet floor, just drew and painted on the wood. And then a brown carpet and some printed floors.
The house is 5,6 cm high.

I wanted a red wooden facade, but when I started painting I realized it was more orange than red.. But I didn't have any red paint left.. so this is what I got.. I'm NOT pleased with the windows.. They are not straight and equal... But I don't want to repaint it.. I don't know if I'm even able to remove the old paint.. and do a better job next time.. so this is how it will have to be.

I havn't made the roof yet, Dont know how I want it.. Have to think about that, and while I was thinking I found an old cardboard minihouse as well, so I'm working on that too. It was unfinished, like several of my things are...It most have been lying in the drawer for at least 7 years =)
I printed some floors to that house and have started painting it, but I have no picture of it, yet...

And last but not least I wanted to show some furniture I bought on FB =) They were cheap (just like I like it) =) and I really wanted a highchair, so I'm very happy with the new things.
My daughther was with me when I opened the package and guess who snitched every single one of these furniture.. Saying: "Låna mammas"... (Borrow mums) Well I'm a sneeky mum and I snitched them back when she wasn't looking ;) She manage to get rid of some bows on the bed, I'll see if I glue them back on again, or if I paint the bed first?! I have to paint the table, because there is an ugly sticker on the top, that wont get off, but I like making furniture a little more unique, but I realize I'm no good att painting, it never ends up the way I want it =( But I have to practise and use a better brush or roller.
I'm thinking of painting the chair too. Actually I'm not that found of this dark red wood, but I end up bouying them anyway ;) Maybe beacause its common, or I might like them without knowing ;)
The tiny sofa looks just like one I have in 1:12 scale, would be nice to have them together in a scens somehow..

Now it's bedtime for me, and since I got a cold I should have been in bed awhile ago... but.. I hate going to bed! There are so many fun things that can be done beeing up, instead of sleeping.. But I have to sleep and get well now! So Good night =)

Fabrics and animals

I've become addicted to fabrics.... and especially Tilda fabrics from Panduro.... =) I have no idea what to make of them, but they are so wonderful to look at! And I'm a bit afraid of cutting them, what if I destroy them =) We'll see if I get over that and start using them soon ;) I'm thinking of doing a bed-set for my cradle.. soon =)
My Panduro fabrics
When I haven't been looking at my fabrics, I worked on a couple of needlefelted animals and painted a kitchen and started on a new 1:144 scale house.
Two cats ready for Stockholms miniature show so far =)

I've shown the black cat before, but I added some whiskers =) And everytime I think I'm done, I think of something more to do... I might give the black cat a fimo-nose, like the white one.. so I might not be done just yet....

I've understand that cats often do this, being in the way of your work ;)

Lucky for me, the paint had dried before the cat jumped up looking for attention... ;)

I gave these cats pads.

And then I started thinking of a dog I made before, he could use pads too, so I reworked on this dog too, and gave him pads and attached the head a bit better, and fixed his legs.

And now I'm working on a toy poodle =) But I took a break yesterday and started building a new 1:144 scale house too =) (I'll show you pictures of the house later)

As you can see, I'm still busy =) I'm so happy I'm able to work on my minis almost every day now =) I'm really enjoying myself right now, you never know when time runs out again =)
Take care

I won =)

Natalia had some very generous giveaways last new year. And I was very lucky to win one =)
I have never made curtains before (or I made a very simple one for grandmas roombox) but now I hope I will finally try making some for my house. And the fabric is perfect, goes very well with my wallpaper I think. It might be a curtain, or a sofa, or maybe both =)

But I try to work on things to sell now, and save my own house for later =)
But every now and then I make something for myself too =) Like a teddy bear for my unnamed dog. The Petterssons dog =)
Just look what he did to that poor teddy bear.... ;)

I'll do more "used" teddy bears later. I found a poodle I made years ago, before I started needlefelting, and just tried to make it out of wool anyway, it wasn't great, and mums real dog thought it was a great toy, so he chewed on it, and all I got left was a piece of wet wool... And I started thinking of a song I liked as a kid, "Gammelnalle" with "Mamma mu". (Old teddy bear) I loved it, it was about an old teddy that lost his arms and legs, but he was still happy =)
Nothing in the real world is perfect, so why not have some broken old things in my mini house as well =)

But back to the "selling-stuff", I've made some fimo angles.

And started painting them =) This is the first one, looks like I've missed a spot on the neck, I have to fix that later!

I lost my inspirations this weekend, but I hope to get back on track soon =) Just looking at minis makes me want to start "working" again! (or should I say play, its more fun than any work I can think of ;) )

A new "tool"

First I like to say: Thank you!! For all the kind comments and encouragement on my last post! I'm very hard on myself, and never think my stuff will be good enough on a fair. But like I said, I will be happy even if I dont sell anything. Like in a game, it's not most important to win, the important thing is to participate and have fun. And I think it will be fun =) Now to my new "tool" =)

We bought a laser printer awhile ago. I've only had inkjet printers before, and they always stop working properly after awhile.. so we wanted to try laser this time, so far, so good =)
I tried it by printing some miniatures =)

This is my temporary refrigerator and pantry, I did bought it for my daughter, its made of wood and great for small kids, but I kinda liked it myself.. ;) But I would love to build one myself, later. And I would love a real pantry in my kitchen, but there aren't enough room for one.. =( Like our real kitchen, we don't have a pantry, we just have smaller cupboards as pantry. I'll build that for my mini house as well. And I hope to fill them with mini packages =) So far I got some cacao and "kalaspuffar"/ Honey monster ;) And sugar (That didn't make it to the picture...)

Now when I was working with paper I also found this magazine in a drawer =) This magazine is not printed by me, I cut it out from a life size magazine =) I love how they showed the content in miniature at the first page =) Great just to cut out and glue together =)

And I also found this alarm clock that I printed several years ago, on a inkjet printer back when I lived with my mum. We had a few printers through the years, and like I said every one of them broke after a few years.. I really hope this laser printer will be better and last many years!

I guess there will be many more paper projects later on =) I'm working on a pattern for a "tin box" right now =) It's a lot of fun to have our own printer =)
But finally some "sad news", my camera is getting worse =(

I glazed my pies... but got a terrible picture of it, some times I get a good picture, and sometimes I get a black one, or a one like that.. =( Would be great if it just started working like it use to, but I'm afraid it will get even worse day by day from now on =( Well my husband has a better camera, so I could ask him to take pictures for me, but its nice to have my own camera and take pictures every now and then...
But like I said, now and then I get a good picture, so I'll have to try a bit harder from now on.

Take Care

Making minis to sell

I follow a LOT of blogs, I love reading about other peoples miniatures and their lives. And I try leaving many comments, I know how I love reading comments and imagine others do too =) But I just realized how much time it takes... I haven't been reading as much as I use to for awhile now, and now I'm behind and a bit stressed about that.. =( I might need to reduce my blog-time.. But like I said I love reading blogs, and comment on them.. Will see how I fix this =) I'm a bit busy right now, making lots of minis and spending time with my family, but now and then I will check back on all your blogs, so don't think I have forgotten you all, I'm just a bit busy =)

So, why am I so busy making minis? =) I can finally tell you!
I've gotten a new friend through a miniature-group on Facebook, Anna, we have never met in real life, yet =) But now we got a table at Stockholms miniature show together in April =) I'm very excited and look forward both on meeting Anna and to sell miniatures and just to be at the show. I was a guest to the show last October, and it was so much fun, I hope this year will be even better ;)
So, I'm trying to make as much miniatures I can, so that I have lots to sell on the show =)
(But since I suffer from some separation anxiety I save a lot of the things I make, and have to make even more, to have anything to sell ;) )
I have so many ideas I want to try and make, but time flies... I hope I manage to make at least 1/3 of all my ideas =) I have a LOT of fun doing these things, so I'll be happy even if I don't sell a thing..
If you are able to visit Stockholm 6/4 I would be very happy if you came by our table =)
(If you can't, I promise to take some pictures ;) )
Talking about pictures.. My camera started to flicker and making pictures with strange colours =( I really hope its not "dying"... But at least I managed to take some pictures for this post =)

My "fingers were longing for clay" for a long while, and I finally got some time for it =) I have "hidden" my clay, so that my 2-year old can't get a hold of it.. That's why I haven't been using my clay for a long time, my daughter cant be with me when I do this so I only make clay-things when she is a sleep, and I have to clean up before she wakes up again.. but I have placed everything on a tray and place it up high when she wakes up =)

First I made tiny buttons from polymer clay and made a teddy bear in wool with movable arms and legs =)
Tiny clay buttons on a felted bear.
Teddy before he got his face
And all done, I think =)
I got carried away and made another one the next day =)
The blue one will be up for sale at the show in April =) But this orange one reminds me of my fathers old teddy bear, so he will be staying, this might just be Konrad (my dollhouse father) his old teddy bear =)

And a cat, actually I made this one before I made the teddy bears =) And now I'm working on a dog, I'm a bit afraid of telling you the breed, because they always change along the way ;)

Then I got to work with my clay again. And I made 3 blueberry-pies, to sell. When I googeld blueberry pie I got pictures of "braided" ones, like the one on the right. And when I googled the swedish word, "blåbärspaj" I got pictures of "smuldegspaj"/ crumble pies like the ones on the left =)
Is braided pies more common in USA? and crumble pie more common in Sweden? All I know is that I never made a lid like that on my pies, I do crumble pies (in real life) =)

I made some toys and angels too, I'll show them later, the angels need some paint before I want to show them =)
Then I wanted to try the "ice cream" I got from Sushi flavour.
I hate it when I realize that something I'd like to be good at, just isn't my thing... like ice cream..I wanted to make good looking ice cream.. but I ended up doing messy ones... I haven't got the hang of the pastry bag.. I tried making a new tip for a bag, but I don't know if it's that good..

I bought the red one, and the one in aluminium is the one I made.. Hard to see on this picture..

I made some ice cream cones in polymer clay to fill with "ice cream".

And tried using my homemade pastry bag. Next time I will try the one I bought. But the smallest hole  looks a bit big.. We'll see if I get the hang of it. I've made more cones, that was quite fun to make. =) The ice cream was much harder...
I'm sorry I couldn't get better pictures of the ice cream, but my camera just flicker and flicker and I have to be quick to get some pictures at all.. Hope it will stop doing that..

I'll take the opportunity to welcome my newest readers:

Hope you all will have a great week

Celebrating some rings with cake

I haven't really come back to the daily life after all holidays yet... I have a lot on my mind right now.. So I haven't post anything since last year (as you can see...) =) Hope you all will have a great 2014. I most say I hope I will get a great year too ;) I've had a good start so far. But not much time for minis...
But here is what I have been up to lately, except shopping, celebrating new years eve at my mum's and enjoying having my husband home all day long for several days in a row =) (Me, I'm always home since I'm some kind of housewife, the kind that cleans the house and makes minis, but hates to cook ;) )

Anyway I realized Konrad and Lisbeth didn't have wedding rings.. At least in Sweden it's common to have one golden ring on the left ring-finger if we are engaged, and the girl has two rings if she is married, but the guy just get his one =) (He can get two, but one is more common)
I have 2 rings myself, and of course I remember getting them very well ;) The first engagement ring was very exiting to get. We ordered it without anyone knowing. And took them with us on a pick-nick. That was one of the luckiest days of my life. It was a hot and beautiful summer day and we went for a swim in a lake. I remember how I tried swimming with my hand tightly holding on to the ring, with a closed fist, very hard to swim that way ;) But I was very afraid to lose the ring =)
And at the wedding I was very nervous. But it was a perfect day too =) And I'm glad I got to share it with so many people that I love.
Now I can remember all this happy moments just by looking at my rings, so off course my dollhouse dolls have to have a thing like that, to remember their wedding. I imagine it was beautiful, a wonderful summer day I think, just like mine ;)
I get stuck in all these writing as usual... ;) But here is a picture, I painted some rings on their fingers =)

And when I finally got that little thing done, I started baking a cake, in miniature of course, I'm not the baking kind of housewife either.... (too bad, because I love eating cakes and good food) =)

The cake tin is made out of candle-holders, the same thing I used for the washing machine =) I got the idea when I was looking at Kikkas blog, this peticular post =)
I cut it in pieces and used a lot of glue.. This was not the easiest thing to glue.. It might have been easier to use paper, and paint it. But I thought this would look good, but it was a bit hard to attach the bottom...

The cake is made of air-drying clay (that I got from Sara in a swap last year) unfortunately it had already started to dry, but I could chop it up and use it. And on the top I added some deco glue that I got from Sushi flavour's webshop.
This is suppose to look like my mum's favourite cake =) A chocolate cake, "kladdkaka", easy to make, in real life =) and very tasty.

Lisbet and Konrad thought this cake was perfect for celebrating the fact that they finally got their rings =)
(I'm amazed they manage to make a cake in such a unfinished kitchen ;) )

Take care
Hannah
