The baby has arrived..

Just wanted to tell you all that the baby arrived, 8 days early, with a fast delivery, we barely made it to the hospital in time.. Every thing went very well, and we got to go home 7 hours after the birth. Big sister was very happy when she found out it was a baby sister, just as she wished for =)
So, all a sudden I have two wonderful daughters!
I feel good, last time I had some complications after and did not feel fine for a long time, but this time, I can't complain about a thing! well... I wouldn't mind skipping this nasty flu we got going here.. When the baby was 3 days old big sister got high fever and pains and later a cough.. And this weekend it was my turn.. And the father, well he got a crick, so the only healthy one in our family at this point, is the baby =) I'm happy as long as she is fine!

Will see when I get the time to read blogs and maybe make some miniatures again, but right now I just enjoy having such a perfect baby (while taking care of a sick, but still perfect, big sister too..)
Wishing you all a wonderful autumn!
take care

Dolls and stick horses

One day my daughter asked me to do a blue mini stick horse for her dolls. She sat by my side the whole time and was very happy when I was done. (Now she wants to be a grown up so she can needle felt herself...)

I got stuck in horses for awhile.. But now I want to move on to something else.. But it's nice to do a lot when I feel like it, then it might take years until I want to do another horse again =)

As you could see on my Instagram, I did manage to do a dress for poor mini Blythe. It was harder than I thought.. But first I did a dress for a naked Lundby mum, it was easy and it fits perfectly.

Then I thought it would be easy to make another dress for LPS Blythe, but I was wrong...
The dress just came apart and the fabric wanted to come apart and then I used a lot of glue.. and in the end I just forced it on the poor doll after taking her head off.. The dress came apart again and I used more glue and now she is stuck in the dress.. =) Might be for the best.. I don't want to make another dress for a long time now...

Here she is with her friend.
(The dress on the right is not made by me, only the left one)

Finally she was able to leave the bedroom.

The girls had a nice time in the livingroom. (My daughter thought Lalaloopsy should be in the picture too!)
And we had some rainy days, so the girls got to watch the same TV show me and my daughter watched this week; Pippi Långstrump (Pippi Longstocking)

I went looking for my Lundby furniture at my mum's basement, found a whole box of Lundby dolls =) Some will move in to the Lundby Dallas house.

I have gotten stuck in buying dolls too, I just love them, the apartment is quite full of dolls and miniatures by now.. Barbie, Ever After High and all kind of small dolls.. But since Sweden stop selling EAH I got a bit mad and don't know if I want to buy more.. it's not as fun to order abroad and they even deleted the whole EAH site in Swedish, and all the episodes are gone. So now me and my daughter can't watch them together.. I know they still make new ones in English, but she doesn't understand English yet.. and I think it was much more fun to watch them together with her.. and when they even deleted the old episodes so we can't even watch our old favourite ones I just gave up! But I'll save all my EAH dolls, and maybe I'll buy Kitty and Cupid too, really want them, but have to look abroad then.. But the Swedish prices were crazy, so I understand they didn't sell good enough.. 2 times or 3 times the price on Amazon.com, that is just stupid.. But when they gave up EAH they sold them very cheep, so I have manage to get hold on some new ones for a good price, have to take pictures of them some day..

But now I just rest a lot, building up some energy for times to come..

Lundby Dallas in action

Things are happening in the Dallas house. First we had to do some cleaning:

Daddy got a new ride

And a scary Furious Smurf was lurking around

(No doll was harmed during the photos)

And then there were lights!

And a 3,5 year old girl REALLY interested in mommy's dollhouse

(Lots of work to be done, wires to hide..)

(I have to dig deeper into my old boxes of furniture, I think there are more kitchen pieces to be found..)

And a swap with Sara, with a doll that my daughter snitched right away..

I was not going to have any Lalaloopsy dolls, there are too many dolls out there for me to collect everything.. but this one is so cute I had to have it, and now I want more.. (I almost doesn't have this one, since my daughter say it's her collectable doll, that she collects, and I can't play with it, (wonder what she got that from ;) ) but she lives in my dollhouse)

And finally there is a cranky doll in the house that refuses to get out of bed until I give her some clothes..
Tried cheering her up with a teddy bear, but I agree, she should get some clothes..
And a name.

Take care
I'll try making some clothes for poor LPS Blythe now..
(Update: here are a dress, not the best one.. but I might try again later.. https://instagram.com/p/7Ioc5EAm1Q/ )

Needle felting and flee market findings

Summer is going to it's end (but here in Sweden we finally got sun and some heat, I have been missing that yellow warm thing!)
My husband got back to work, me and my daughter are back to being home alone.. with a big stomach and some serious back pains. But we have been outside enjoying the sun a bit, me on a bench, while she has been running around the playground.
I hope I will have time for some bloging and reading blogs this autumn, but I'm afraid I wont have much time for miniatures this autumn since the baby is expected in less than 2 months now! Were did the time go? But now it feels like I'm stuck in time, with pains and a big (Everyone keeps saying I have such a small stomach) bump that just wont let me move.. I'll be so happy once the baby is on the outside instead of the inside, being pregnant isn't my favourite thing to be.. But I keep trying to think how fast 9 month will go.. But right now, stuck and unable to move..

Anyhow I saw Jennifer got an Instagram account, I started to look it up again.. After a few weeks I even downloaded the app for my phone, but never opened it =) Then Jane Chérie talked about Instagram too, and now I finally manage to open the app and open an account, so now I'll try to learn and maybe post some pictures there too. I do love blogging because you can write, a lot.. =) And I tend to do that.. I'm better at writing than taking pictures, but it's fun to take pictures too, and I will try to combine these two, and I love to follow others and see all their amazing pictures. So if you have an account I should follow, let me know =) And if you want to follow me, this is my accound: Hannahsminiatyrer

I haven't felt like doing much lately, I'm just too tired for everything now, but I haven't given up on needlefelting just look at the bunch of cats and giraffes appearing the last months..
I do dream of attending another fair, maybe next year?! I try to do a few minis to add to a "selling box", and hopefully I'll have enough things to attend a fair next autumn =) I hope to bring my daughter too, she is a great helper and I think she would like to see all those miniatures =)

Yesterday we went to a big flee market, I was looking for dolls and dollhouse furniture. No more dollhouses =) But.. The first thing I saw, was a nice Lundby Dallas house. Original wallpaper, just like I want it! And nice condition. It lacks a few plastic things for the windows, a door to the garage down stairs, two parts for the fence, and a half door to the stable at the side and the front downstairs. The chimney is loose, I have to glue it back on the roof later.
Here you can see the house in the catalogue of Lundby 1975: http://dollhouse.mine.nu/download/ws/lundby-/lundby%201975_VS.pdf

 With the "front" attached

Without front wall

Also found a box of furniture. I'll see if I'll keep everything or sell a few of them (I already have the stove, since I was a kid, really like that one, but now I have two of them =) )

I also found this cute littlest pet shop Blythe. I have been looking for them =) I was so happy to find her, and she was very cheap too =)
A great day at the flee market! Sunny and great findings =)

Take care

Mini BenJi

I started working on my first clay/wool dog awhile ago. And wanted to make mums dog in miniature, to give her on her birthday. I have been thinking of making a miniature of him for years now, but always end up thinking it was too hard. But then I finally started and the real dog got to see the unfinished one before he passed away. When he died (about a month ago) I felt like I had to make the best mini dog ever.. hard to live up to =(
"Funny" how I think of doing a miniature for years, and when I finally do, the real dog dies.. Not the best time to work on this, I was about to cry every time I tried finish him.. But I got done, a few hours before the birthday party..
He was a mixed breed, shih tzu, lhasa apso and tibetan spaniel and a few more breeds further back too. A unique dog that is =)

Here is BenJi wondering what I was working on while we was "babysitting" one day. (Last time he was here..) My daughter took her role as a babysitter very serious, she took good care of him and wanted him to have a nice stay at our place =)

This very unfinished picture just reminded me of one day he and I was out, the wind blew really hard that day, and he was just a little puppy and the fur stood up, all over =) He looked kinda like this =)

 Finished?!
I had to stop sometime, it was hard, I thought I could do better all the time, and added and remade things all the time, then I just had to put a stop to myself and say that I was done! Which I did (but look at the last picture, I did add some more white fur on the nose one last time before wrapping the gift..)

Visiting my dollhouse

I added a bit more white to the nose and tail, and then I decided I was done =)
I wasn't totally satisfied, but this is my first dog, I might get better at this in a few years, and maybe I'll do another one then.. But I have to say he is kinda cute, even do he might not look just like the "original".

Take care

Do I dare to say rabbit, again?!

We had some vacation, and we travelled to south Sweden as usual, but before that, I did make even more rabbits...
Don't want to bore you with all the rabbit pictures, but here are some more.. A family picture, seem like there were 4 babies, I think 2 of them will have to move when they get old enough ;) But 2 will stay at my dollhouse, with the mother. =)

And I guess this is the rabbit father, he has shorter fur than the rest, it was fun to try cutting it shorter =)
I don't know if I'm done with rabbits for now, we will have to wait and see, there might be more, just because I like making them =) And there are so many more colours to try... =)

One day I realized I had quite a lot of air-drying-clay left. I thought I should work on that a bit more. (I made a few ice cream cones before) But when I found it, it was all dry =( Note to self: NEVER forget air dry clay!
I had a short cry (another note: never find destroyed mini-material once pregnant and extra sensitive) But then I thought I had to try if there was anything useful left. I got to make a few ice creams, and then I realized I could soften some of the clay with water, doesn't look like it was before, but it was OK I think. I had a lot of hard work to make just a few ice creams. I might try to use some more another day, I got so sick of this stupid thing I had to take a break. The cones are polymer clay and the ice cream is that air dry clay that drives me mad  =)

I thought it would be easy with air dry clay, no oven, just wait and it's done, and you can make it in containers that doesn't stand the oven.. but.. polymer clay doesn't dry like that stupid thing, I think I'll stick to that! =) So I was back to "normal" clay again..

Like I said before, I made a few cakes for my daughter, and I did make some for me too =) Tried using liquid clay on the left one, wasn't a success.. Have to practice a bit more.. and the right one was far from perfect too.. More practice I guess...

And some stones for my Fantasy garden, which one do You like the best?
With white and brown eyes, just the brown or no eyes?? I can't decide which one I like the best.. I have been working on more magical fantasy stuff, but I'll show that later. The tree, anyone remember that?! Haven't gotten any further with that.. =( I got stuck on the boring leafs..

But I made a few paper minis too, some packings for the kitchen, and then these train puzzles I showed in my last post. Here is a close up, here you can see how you can move the parts =)

And the Glow-in-the-dark-stars (also from the last post) in place at the roof at my nursery. It was a bit difficult to photograph them.. But I tried to show you them in different lights/darkness.
Daytime

Evening

Night

And some final pictures of things I picked up on our vacation =)
I visited Dockbutiken, I had a great time, a small store (with a big web shop), so many things to look at! I can't believe I had this much character, to go out of that store and not bring half of it with me home.. ;) There were also a lot of dolls I would have loved to bring home!

And my mother-in-law saw these on a supermarket, very cheep tools for my clay.

Btw, do you remember the buyer that scammed me on Etsy/paypal?! I just found out I was far from the only one, she has scammed a lot of people now.. I wish Etsy and Paypal could arrange something that made it possible to block people like that.. Well, I'm glad I got to know the truth now, and I feel better knowing I didn't do anything wrong, not the post-office either, she was just dishonest.

Hope you all have vacation too =) And are enjoying summer, if there is summer now at your place too! (We do have summer, but it has been a bit hard to see, since it has been a bit too cold for my taste this summer..)
Take care

Swap

Hi again! =)
Now I've finally got my swap packages =) I shipped my swap-packages a while ago and got 3 myself too. The last one from Norway had to wait all week in the post office, I finally got it yesterday.

We had a sad week here. Mums dog has been ill for awhile, he had a heart disease and got pills for it. But lately he had gotten worse and this Wednesday I followed mum and her dog to the vet, there was nothing they could do. And we ended up going home without him =(
This is the worse part of having a pet! We got him as a tiny puppy, he was acctually a birthday gift for me, at my 17th birthday. He was the most energetic dog I ever meet =) He chose my mum and loved her the most, so I got another dog, he passed away 2 years ago, and of course I was reminded of that at this hard time, but it felt good to know what was going to happen and that I could be with them both at their last breath.
He will be missed..
But now to much funnier things, the swap!

This is what I sent:

To Kirsi
A mini book, glow-in-the-dark stars (for the roof), pop corn, pop-up toy, pull-toy-sheep, a lollipop, a train jigsaw puzzle, and a piece of cork (to make pinboards, shoes, you name it)

To Magdalena
(Not the best picture..)
A block-puzzle, pop corn, pull-toy-sheep, glow-in-the-dark stars (for the roof), a lollipop, a train jigsaw puzzle, 4 Art Deco plates and a piece of cork (not in the picture..)

To Anna
A poster, glow-in-the-dark stars (for the roof), pop corn, pop-up toy, pull-toy-sheep, a lollipop, a train jigsaw puzzle, and a piece of cork.

And the packages I got:

From Sara
A few posters, 2 waffles (My daughter really liked these..), 4 red roses, a clock (very cool 3-d effect) and a clay colour tool.

From Anna:
Plants, legs for a table (I have a few parts to chose from to use on this), a poster, Nintendo, spade, packages of seeds, Barba-family, toy bird and "gardening pants".

From Liv
A carpet, kitchen towel (I have been wanting one of these for a while now, so that was extra fun to get), stickers, clock, glass jar with candy, cake stand, cake, pot, cookies, plate, cookie jar, bowl of ice cream, bowl, calender, sign, lemon slices, tea cups with plate and spoon.

It was once again a fun swap =) Exciting waiting for packages and to open them =)

A quick update on how I made my things:
I have made a few of these things before, like the pull toy sheep (old news by now, but still as fun to make!) pop up toy, plates and I did show you the pop corn.
The lollipops are from this tutorial: http://mimundodeminiatura.blogspot.se/2015/03/piruletas-de-colores.html
The block-puzzle: http://wilminidesign.blogspot.nl/2012/12/blokkenpuzzel.html
The glow-in-the-dark stars, are miniatures from my own stars, I thought these were so much fun when I was a kid, and wanted some in my dollhouse too =) Made them out of glow-in-the-dark polymer clay, and then I printed a label, to make them a liitle cooler ;)
And the jigsaw puzzle was fun to make, I printed them here: http://wilminidesign.blogspot.nl/search?q=simplex+puzzel and glued them in different layers, all in paper and cardboard, and cut them out careful and glued "balls of clay" on them. You can actually "play" with the puzzle, my daughter is very found of them, she takes all pieces out, and try to put them back, but its a bit hard since they are sooo small =) Great practice in fine motorics ;)

And a fun thing about swaps, it always makes me very creative and I make a lot of stuff for myself too, not only for the swap. This time I got stuck in clay and have been working on clay every day for a long while now =) I could sit forever, but sometimes I have to eat.. and play with my daughter, so the time I actually spend with clay is not that long.. =)
There have been a lot of cakes for her dollhouse, she just realized she can ask me to do stuff for her, and week as I am, I always end up doing as she said ;) So lots of cake for her dollhouse, and plates and bowls.
And now they have a party:

I think a party will make a good ending to this post, so take care and if you like us finally have summer heat, enjoy, it might be over before you know it =) (They say we will get much colder weather next week, again.. but I enjoyed the sun and heat while it lasted!)
