Baby bunnies

Baby rabbits, how cute are they?! I almost want to buy myself a rabbit again.. But, I don't have space for a big cage and doesn't have the time to take care of a new animal right now. But later, in a few years, I want rabbits again! I got my first rabbit when I was 6 years old, he was amazing, almost like a dog. Came when I called, walked freely in our apartment and walked outside in a leash.

Anyhow, I thing rabbits are great to practice on, in miniature. (I made one before you know: http://hannahsminiatyrer.blogspot.se/2015/01/funny-bunny.html) I need to start sculpting better, but the fun part for me is putting on the fur... =)

I made a few different white rabbits to practice on. Still, dabbling with the sculpting....

Two babies are done by now.

They could need a cage, (Feels a bit hard for me to make, but I have to try some day..) but now they run freely in the Pettersson family house, and couch.. (I hope they are housebroken, don't want any stains on that new couch..)

Little Lovisa was so happy to get two baby bunnies =)

I have been working on a few secret projects now too, since I couldn't help myself and entered a swap =) I will send 3 packages soon, I'll show pictures of what I made and sent later. =)
Swaps are so much fun, but I get a bit stressed out; what to send? how much? and are my things good enough? Well I decided to enter nonetheless.
I have told myself to only work on my own projects now, and don't even think of selling and make to others, but that was too hard, so a swap was just what I needed right now =)

Take care
Hannah

  5. Hi Hannah! So good to see that you are sculpting again with clay, probably it's in the air now, because the same is for me at the moment :O). Those little bunnies are totally adorable and absolutely great work! I hope the are potty trained, because they are hopping freely around in the house of the family Petterson ;O!?
I'm curious to see what your secret project might be, don't let us wait for too long, okay ;)!
Take care for yourself, everything okay?

    1. Thank you Ilona! We have had such cold, windy and rainy weather here, perfect for staying inside and work with clay =)
My real rabbit was potty trained quick and could walk around freely like this, but when he was a baby, the first thing he did was peeing on my new dress, my first memory of him =) I hope these babies wont do the same to Lovisa's dress.. =)

Thanks for asking, I feel OK now, annoying back pains, but I manage to sit with my clay for a long while, I can just sit with my clay and forget about both time and aches =)

  7. Hannah, your love of bunnies shows in your sculpts, you know the bunny anatomy so your tiny bunnies look real! Lovisa is a very lucky little girl to have two such precious soft baby bunnies!! Of course they are house trained, give them a litter tray and they will be the cleanest pet bunnies in the miniature world :). Best wishes to you and your "bump".

    1. Thank you Susan! I think anatomy is hard, but I have been studying my animal books and pictures online, I'm glad if that shows in my clay work =)
You are right, I have to give them a toilet, I can't expect them to keep the house clean if they don't have their own toilet! =)

    1. Thank you Birgit! I tried a cat yesterday, but several hours later I thought, I might just keep doing bunnies... Will see if I give that poor cat a second chance, or if he will remain unseen by the public..
And I hope to show the swap-things soon =)
