Some days I feel really sick, especially since I have lost weight and throw up almost every day for several months.. But they always tell me pregnancy is not an illness =) I did throw up and lose weight last pregnancy too, in the beginning. The feeling sick, seem to stay with me longer than usual this time too.. And morning sickness?! more like all day sickness...
I still feel sick at evenings and throw up every now and then, but since two weeks now I actually gain weight again, soon I'll be at normal weight again =)
Feels unbelievable to be waiting for another baby. My little girl, who is already 3 years old is looking forward on being a big sister. She loves talking to the baby and look at my belly.
I thought I could sit and read blogs and do a lot of miniatures before the baby arrives, but I'm just so tired all the time.. too tired to read.. So now you know why I'm so far behind on my blog reading this year.. But I'm hoping I'll have a bit more energy now that the sun comes out more often, and being in the second trimester now.
The baby is expected in October, so I wont be able to attend Stockholm miniature show 11/11 this year. But I'm looking forward on another year, hopefully I will be able to make a few new minis before the baby arrives, we'll have to see what my back and shoulders will allow.. I'm already suffering from back pains, I don't want to think of how I will feel later when I get bigger.. =)
In Sweden we get one ultrasound, in week 18-19. (Mine was yesterday) And I wanted to wait for that before I said anything here on the blog. If everything keep looking good I wont do any more ultrasounds, so next time I'll see my baby is on the delivery. We are all very excited.
Talking about growing, I was jumping of joy yesterday morning when I found 6 small green cherry tomatoes =) I just love vegetables, it's so exciting watching them grow! Like a baby =)

At page 226 you can see my Brio Alphyddan house =)
And then this magazine came in the mail! Great magazine! They had a prize guide too, quite exciting to look at, 3 of my houses were valued higher than I thought, nice to know =)
Soon I hope to show you some clay work, I have been eager to work with clay again, but I can't sit still to long without getting back pains, so I do a little now and then, and then I have to get up moving =) If you have a great tip on what miniatures I could do walking around, let me know ;)
Take care
Hannah
Congratulations! This is wonderful news!!! My heart goes out to you throwing up and still chasing a 3 year old, it must feel like you are running a marathon each day. Yoga really helped my back and hips during pregnancy, just the gentle stretches took some of the pressure off. And sitting on those large inflated exercise balls is a great alternative to a chair, much more comfortable on your bum and lower back! Hugs all the way from Canada! Kat
ReplyDeleteThank you Kat! At first I thought it would be impossible to have a kid and be pregnant, but I see people all over the world having more than one, so I must be able to do it too =) Mum always told me how I was cheering her on when she was throwing up expecting my brother, now I experience the same thing =) My daughter asks me; mum, do you have your bucket?! otherwise she gets it for me =) Nice to have a helper in these times =)
DeleteAnd thank you for the tips! I have to take out that exercise ball from the closet again =)
Congratulations Hannah! Fantastic news (I am sorry for the throwing part...I hope you will be fine soon!) ! And Happy Birthaday to you! <3 So lovely for your 3-year little girl to become a big sister! Lots of Hugs to you my friend!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for the hint of that Retro magazine! :)
Hugs
Kikka
Thank you Kikka!
DeleteI made a pre-order of the Retro magazine, but now I saw it in our local store (Ica Maxi), hope you can find one were you live too =) It's a really interesting magazine!
Congratulations Hannah I am so happy for you. I hope you are feeling better soon. Your daughter will be a wonderful big sister seeing as she is a great helper already :)
ReplyDeleteHugs Maria
Thank you Maria! I hope my daughter will think it is as fun when the baby actually arrives =)
DeleteWow - now I have very good reasons to congratulate! First - congrats on becoming a Mom for the second time, my best wishes for you and your baby - including the hope that you're going to feel much better real soon. And next Happy belated Birthday to you - what a lovely gift.
ReplyDeleteHugs
Birgit
Thank you Birgit! I feel very lucky right now, I hope this baby will be as healthy and wonderful as my first one =)
DeleteWonderful joyus news, I was hoping the ...illness ...was just little flutters :)
ReplyDeletePerfect timing to eat those healthy veggies, the little bun in the oven will need them!
I am not sure if you have ever tried gingersnaps or bread? Helps with yucky stomach.
Thanks Jane. I tried a lot of ginger in the beginning, helped for awhile.. But as long as I change what I eat every now and then, I wont get sick of it and nauseas. I ate a lot of bread in the very beginning, but now just the thought of bred makes me wanna run to the bucket, seem to be one of those things this time that I just cant stand =)
ReplyDeleteThank you Isabel!
DeleteCongratulations Hannah! A new little person at the end will make all the bad stuff worthwhile. Maybe a girl? Girl babies often make their mothers sick. Best wishes for you and your family as you await the day!
ReplyDeleteThanks Susan! Yes, I felt sick very long last time too, and it's amazing how quick I forgot about that once the wonderful little baby was out =)
DeleteWe have no idea if it's a boy or girl. I did feel this sick last time too, and had a girl, but my mother-in-law felt sick the whole pregnancy, 3 times, and she has 3 boys, so I don't know =)
Dear Hannah, congratulations, what a wonderful news!!!! I´m very sorry to here about you throwing up, I hope you feel better soon :)
ReplyDeleteAnother baby girl, ooo how exciting, lucky you !
Hugs Mieke xxx
Thank you Mieke! We don't know if it's a boy or a girl, I don't normally like surprises, but decided not to ask this time, and it feels a bit exciting not knowing =)
DeleteWow!!! I am really missing out on amazing news by disappearing from blogland! Congrats on the new baby to come! What an exciting time for your family! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Lindsey! We are very excited, it's just an unbelievable feeling =)
DeleteCongratulations!! That is very exciting, although I am sorry about your feeling ill. I was nauseous until I gave birth with my second one (or it felt that way anyway). I thought you might be pregnant - from your previous hints - so I am glad it is such happy news. That is so sweet of your daughter to get your bucket. And happy birthday as well!
ReplyDeleteThank you Penelope! Last time I was nauseous more or less the whole time, but after the delivery it was just gone. Amazing how something can stick for 9 months, and then just disappear like that =) I wish it was the same thing with my back problems, but I guess I have to work for getting it better, every thing can't just come to me for free =)
DeleteCongratulations on expecting your second baby and how lovely you can share the excitement and anticipation with your daughter, the big sister. The book you received for your birthday looks great - perfect for when you need to put your feet up and rest a bit.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sharee! It feels great to have such a wonderful girl to share this with!
DeleteYes, the book is great, easy to just look at the pictures, for a long while and relax =)
Congratulations, Hannah! I'm just thrilled for you! So glad you have your little helper there when you feel nauseated. :-) Happy belated birthday--you received some amazing gifts. As far as miniatures to do while walking around--how about hand sewing doll clothes or other minis while sitting in a comfy chair, perhaps in front of the TV? Can't wait to hear more from you. xo Jennifer
ReplyDeleteThank you Jennifer!!
DeleteAnd great tips! I need something easy to do, I just need to have some thing in my hands, to work on. I want to do lots of clay, but that's not the best thing to do walking around =) But I'll try to mix in some easier sewing or something else in between =)
That's wonderful news! Congratulations! I don't think you need to do any work on minis since you are working on the ultimate mini in your belly. LOL! Rest a lot. Remember there's no rest when the baby comes. So sleep, sleep, sleep. I'm so excited for you. Enjoy every minute! Maybe not the nausea though. :D
ReplyDeletehugs♥,
Caroline
Thanks Caroline! This week I'm just so tired all the time, I fell asleep yesterday when my daughter was reading a book for me =) I try to rest a lot, but still I want to do some minis too, they are kinda relaxing too, and I know I will miss it later when I have my hands full with the baby =)
DeleteAw Hannah, congratulations!!! and Happy Birthday! and great tomatoes :D Also great gifts from your mum and brother. I can see why you are wary of the sweet! :D Hope the sicky tum goes away :) Have no experience in that arena, but I often find strong mints make me feel less sick, Trebor XXX mints to be precise :D
ReplyDeleteThank you Sarah!
DeleteI ate a lot of mint in the beginning, feels a bit fresh and takes away the nausea for awhile, but now they reminds me a bit of nausea instead.. =) I have had to change the stuff I eat all the time to not get sick of it or be reminded of nausea.
